Morgan Harrison, Market Place Shopping Centre

We are proud to honour Morgan with our Above & Beyond Award for her vigilance and swift action during a potentially dangerous incident on 8th July 2025. While on patrol, Morgan detected a burning smell and quickly escalated the issue, discovering a smouldering window frame ignited by a discarded cigarette. Thanks to her decisive response, the fire was contained before it could spread, averting a serious incident. Morgan’s quick thinking, dedication, and professionalism truly exemplify what it means to go above and beyond.

Thanks to her swift actions, the fire was contained before it could escalate and cause significant damage to the building, particularly the stairwell and vaults area. Morgan’s initiative, composure under pressure, and strong sense of responsibility went far beyond the expectations of her role—preventing a potentially serious incident.

Charlie Downing, Anchor HQ

With less than 48 hours’ notice, Ismael delivered a near-perfect compliance audit - ensuring every Health & Safety file, training record, and COSHH register was accurate and ready. His clarity, professionalism, and meticulous management impressed both the Landsec compliance team and operations team. Ismael’s calm leadership, collaborative spirit, and commitment to excellence embody the very qualities this award celebrates.

Paul Brownfield, Longton Exchange Shopping Centre

Paul Brownfield was nominated for the Community award for his outstanding commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the local community. Paul goes above and beyond - collecting surplus food for the homeless, inspiring others to continue the work on his days off and partnering with the Salvation Army to provide essentials like sleeping bags and clothing.

His compassion, initiative, and dedication embody true community spirit, making him a highly deserving recipient of this award.

Impact – Danny Donnelly, Port Solent

Danny consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the site runs smoothly. During a period when the team was short-staffed, he started his day two hours early to support the Ops team with essential tasks, quietly stepping in without seeking praise, simply because he cares about his colleagues and the site. His deep knowledge of Port Solent, willingness to cover wherever needed, and proactive approach to problem-solving have made a real difference. Danny’s pride in his work, hands-on attitude, and ability to think outside the box embody the very spirit of this award. Respected by both his team and clients, Danny’s impact is felt every day, and his dedication inspires those around him.

In Liverpool’s busiest shopping destination, welcoming over 13 million visitors annually, the team has transformed the centre into a true safe haven. Their professionalism, compassion, and teamwork have delivered outstanding results: youth anti-social behaviour down 38%, rough sleeper incidents cut by 47%, and overall crime reduced by 9%. From keeping the centre open and safe during national unrest, to managing record crowds during the Liverpool FC victory parade, the team has shown courage, resilience, and unity under pressure. Their proactive intelligence reporting, strong partnerships, and visible presence make them trusted by the public, retailers, and authorities alike. This 16-strong team doesn’t just protect St John - they inspire confidence, foster community, and prove what can be achieved when people work together with purpose.

Sunny Idiaghe, Dock 10

We are delighted to announce Sunny Idiaghe as the recipient of the prestigious Andrew Harper Award, recognising an individual who truly embodies what it means to work at Anchor Group Services. From his very first day, Sunny has been an irreplaceable asset consistently representing Anchor’s values of authenticity, nurturing, collaboration, honesty, open-mindedness, and reliability. Starting as a full-time External Operative at MediaCity, Sunny quickly made a remarkable impact on cleaning standards and service delivery, earning the trust of clients and progressing into supervisory roles. 

Today, Sunny is the cornerstone of our services at Dock10. His dedication, adaptability, and commitment to excellence have raised standards across the site, streamlined operations, and even saved costs for the client all while protecting jobs for his colleagues. 
Sunny’s contribution goes beyond the workplace. His professionalism and personal qualities are so valued that Dock10 clients celebrated his British Citizenship Ceremony with a heartfelt collection, gifts, and messages of appreciation. Sunny exemplifies the very best of Anchor Group Services, and we are proud to honour him with this award.
