Ian Newsom - Meridian Shopping Centre

Ian was nominated for the Community award in recognition of the time he has devoted, spending time with a regular visitor to the centre who has learning difficulties, taking him for dinner and places of interest.

Chris received the Core Values award in recognition of his dedication, hard work and focus on continuously learning and developing best practices to facilitate installation routines that are both efficient and effective. Bringing a positive, high-energy approach, several clients have commented on Chris’ friendly and inclusive approach.

Anna Todorova, Anchor Group Services

Anna was nominated for the Core Values award by her manager for her exemplary service and commitment she provides in her role at Media City. Anna's exceptional service and commitment has left a lasting impression at every location. This is evidence by her time at White Tower. She consistently received praise from both Peel staff and visitors. In 2022, when Peel and Northstone moved to the new Evolve Offices, the client requested that Anna moved with Peel to continue as their full-time housekeeper.

Daron Barnaby

Daron was nominated for the leadership award for consistently going above and beyond to meet the needs of both the client and the Anchor team. He ensures fair rotas and prioritises the welfare of the entire team. Daron's unwavering commitment is evident as he often sacrifices his days off to cover shifts and provide assistance. His dedication and passion for customer service are unparalleled. Anchor Group Services is immensely proud of Daron and his exceptional contributions and leadership.

Reda Ali

Reda was nominated by the client for the Outstanding Act award for his quick thinking during an incident on 6 June 2024. While on patrol, Reda responded to a distress call and discovered a contractor with a severe knee injury. He remained calm, called for urgent medical assistance, and provided support and encouragement to the injured individual. Reda's guidance was crucial in directing emergency services to the correct location, ensuring timely medical intervention. Reda's quick thinking and composed actions ensured that the injured contractor received timely medical assistance, demonstrating commendable dedication to his duty and the safety of those at the shipyard. Anchor Group Services is incredibly proud of Reda's outstanding performance.

Market Place Shopping Centre

The Market Place Shopping Centre team received the Team award for their incredible teamwork in dealing with an incident on site. The team responded to a call from a member of the site maintenance team who had fallen on the roof whilst carrying out a routine inspection. The teams quick thinking and coordinated response to the phone call meant the injured team member was located and urgent medical support was requested. The team stayed with the injured maintenance team member and was provided with support and encouragement until the ambulance arrived.

“A well-deserved award to a team that has dealt with every eventuality over the past few months, from dealing with protests, ASB,  assisting the air ambulance to land on the roof of the car park for easy access to a nearby emergency and of course the continued support for our customers and tenants.  A great team at a great shopping centre.  We go again for the next award.”
